Auton’s Multifunction Control Box Chosen as Electronic House Product of the Year for 2007
VALENCIA – July 23, 2007 – Auton Motorized Systems’ new multifunction control box was recently chosen as one of Electronic House’s Products of the Year for 2007. The editors of EH Publishing's four connected home magazines chose their favorite products. Their decisions were based on product demos, talking with installers and users and for products they found to be promising. Topping their list of criteria was technological innovation, combined with overall value—and just plain outstanding features.
The newly designed multifunction control box can now receive RF, infrared and low voltage remote signals simultaneously. The control box’s adaptability increases the installer’s options without requiring additional equipment. The control box features three significant improvements over Auton’s previous control box. The remote control is equipped with two preset buttons that can be used to program the television’s position into memory – much akin to preset seat positions in automobiles. The control box also offers a RS232 option – a feature the enables users to control their PCs through the flat panel television screen. Lastly, the remote control now has four distinct directional control buttons, replacing a toggle switch in the older version. This feature enables the AV installer more flexibility when programming the control box unit.
